Alyssa Jayne Milano was born December 19, 1972, into an Italian-American family in Brooklyn, New York. Her father, Thomas, is a film music editor, and her mother, Lin, a fashion designer. Milano also has one younger brother, named Cory.
One of the few actresses to successfully break through the pitfalls of childhood stardom, Alyssa Milano went from tomboy to cutesy teen to all-out vixen in about a decade. After kick-starting her career in a production tour of the musical Annie at age 7, she landed an eight-year role as darling daughter Samantha Micelli on the 1984-92 family sitcom Who’s the Boss? But she eclipsed her squeaky-clean 1980s sitcom image with a sizzling turn as scandalous New York teen Amy Fisher in the 1993 TV-movie Casualties of Love: The ‘Long Island Lolita’ Story.
On the big screen, one of Alyssa Milano’s most important roles came in 1996 when she starred alongside Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg in the surprise hit Fear (1996). Also in 1996, she appeared in To Brave Alaska, a made-for-TV flick about a couple fighting for their lives while abandoned in Alaska.
She played Jennifer Mancini on Melrose Place from 1997 to 1998 and guest starred in the Blink 182 music video for the song “Josie.”
She married CAA agent David Bugliari in 2009, and the couple had a son named Milo Thomas in 2011.
